I don't know what these reviews are based on but these are the best postal staff I've ever dealt with and I have lived in many states. Even though I'm now settled, I keep my p.o. box; it is like a village gathering place and very friendly. And they will GIVE you help that even covers putting their tape on a loose parcel, advice on sending options n cost n lots more, like helping you with taking home a pile of held mail by loaning you a carrier. I love these folks

Not sure where previous reviewers went but was not the Hayesville Post Office they are the most positive, friendly and helpful group of non clannish employees ever!!!!! Love Hayesville Post Office!!!!!

Worst customer service I have every received. Got a man on the phone by the name of John. I wanted to verify an address and he started telling me about the privacy act and he couldn't give out an address or box number. I tried to explain I didn't want an address but to verify. He asked if I'd ever heard of the privacy act. Man had a bad attitude. Seems to be the norm for postal clerks. He told the postmaster I wanted an address which was incorrect. He didn't even try to listen. She was a bit better but made an excuse for her employee. "He had a lot of people in line" Doesn't matter. Really rotten customer service.

Never have been spoken to so poorly by a group of people. I pre-printed some shipping labels for my packages and was told that I selected the wrong shipping service. Instead of trying to help me fix my shipping labels, John preceded to tell me how he has worked with the postal office for 17 years and I had no idea what I was doing or talking about when I was explaining my case. He also tried to explain the 12 different types of letters and packages to me like I was an idiot. I would love to understand the difference between them all but that apparently takes more than 17 years because I went to going postal in Hiawassee and they gladly called the corporate office for me to verify my shipping label. They told me I WAS CORRECT and that shipping my packages this way was no problem because it was under the 13oz (just like online did when I was printing them in the first place). Will not go back there again.

Hattie of Hayesville.

Very clannish bunch...if you're not from around Hayesville they're going to be rude, and if you're from Hayesville....they still treat you like you should be an expert on every cost of every different style of parcel.
